Tour Program
Meet at the Turkish Airlines check-in counter at Istanbul New Airport, International Terminal at 05:00. After check-in and passport procedures, depart for St. Petersburg at 08:15 on Turkish Airlines flight TK401. Arrive in St. Petersburg at 12:00 local time, after which we will have a free panoramic city tour of St. Petersburg, including sights such as Moskovsky Prospekt, Alexander Nevsky Monastery, Nevsky Prospekt Street, Count Stroganov Palace, Palace Square, Winter Palace, St. Isaac's Cathedral, Smolny Monastery, Anichkov Palace and Bridge, Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, and Arts Square. After the tour, transfer to our hotel, check-in procedures, and room distribution followed by dinner. Overnight stay in our hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel and check-out procedures, we will have an Extra Hermitage Museum Tour (75 Euro). After the museum visit, an extra Canal Tour (65 Euro) will be available for guests who wish to join. Following this, there will be free time in the city center. We will meet at the designated time for transfer to our ship, check-in procedures, and cabin assignments. During the briefing meeting on the ship, information will be provided about the ports we will visit, the waterways we will navigate, and the operation system of the level pools. Our ship will depart from the port at 19:00. In the evening, there will be a welcome cocktail where guests will meet the Captain and the ship's crew. Dinner and overnight stay will be on our ship.
Arrival in Mandrogi at 11:30. In Mandrogi, a vibrant village featuring colorful Russian wooden houses set amidst lush greenery, you have free time. You can stroll through the greenery, visit the mini zoo, and explore the gift shops and souvenir workshops housed in beautiful wooden buildings. There is also a small vodka museum here (entrance fee required). After lunch, the ship will set sail. Dinner and overnight stay will be on our ship.
Arrival at Kiji after breakfast on the ship. This island, located on Lake Onega, Europe's second-largest lake and above the 60th parallel, is an open-air museum and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During our free Kiji walking tour, we will first see the wooden Transfiguration Church, which has 22 domes and looks like a fairy tale, built without using any nails. We will also see ancient Russian wooden houses, which are the finest examples of ancient Russian wooden architecture, and learn about the daily lives of the villagers. After the tour, there will be free time on the island. Afterwards, we will return to our ship and it will depart. After lunch, you can enjoy the beauty of Lake Onega, or participate in various activities on the ship. Dinner and overnight stay on our ship.
After breakfast on the ship, you can participate in various activities on board and enjoy the beauty of the river flowing through the northern Russian forests from the deck. Arrival at Goritsy at 13:00. Known as a picturesque and tranquil village in Russia, Goritsy has a small port on the riverbank. You will delve into the simplicity of this small and charming village and explore its medieval atmosphere. This area is also an important center of early Christianity in Russia, and therefore reflects the spiritual life of many monasteries and monks. First, we will visit the monastery here. After that, we will have free time to explore the village and shop. Return to the ship at the specified time and departure of the ship.
Arrival in Yaroslavl after breakfast on the ship. During our panoramic city tour of Yaroslavl with our vehicle, we will see places such as the Transfiguration Monastery, the City Square, the Church of the Prophet Elijah, and the embankment of the Volga and Kotorosol rivers. After the tour, we will have free time in the city center where you can spend time in the cafes on Kirov Street, which is closed to traffic, or visit the local market to buy regional products. Then we will return to our ship and it will set sail. After lunch, you can participate in an activity where you can learn about Russian culture and the history of Russia. Dinner and overnight stay on our ship.
After breakfast, you can admire the beauty of the Volga River and participate in various activities on board the ship. After lunch, we arrive in Nizhny Novgorod. After disembarkation procedures, we begin to explore this city, which has an important place in the life of Maxim Gorky, who was born and raised here. Nizhny Novgorod (known as Gorky during the Soviet Union) is the third largest city in Russia and the capital of the cities on the banks of the Volga. This beautiful city, located at the confluence of the Oka and Volga Rivers, dates back to the 1200s. Nizhny Novgorod is a significant crossroads between the West and the East, Siberia, and Turkestan, and is listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at our hotel.
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer to the train station and board our train to Moscow. Upon arrival in Moscow around noon, we will start our panoramic city tour which includes the following sights: Tverskaya Street, the Parliament Building, the Bolshoi Theatre, Lubyanka Square, the KGB Headquarters, St. Basil's Cathedral, Red Square, GUM Shopping Center, Christ the Savior Cathedral, and the State Duma Building. After the city tour, there will be an option for a Kremlin + 1 Cathedral tour (75 Euro). After the tour, we will transfer to our hotel. After dinner, we will spend the night at our hotel.
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will check out and have free time until the flight hour. Guests who wish can join the full-day Extra Metro+Arbat, Novodevichy tour (65 Euro). (Guests not joining the tour can leave their luggage in the hotel’s luggage room until the transfer time.) After the tour, transfer to Moscow Airport. After check-in and passport procedures, we will depart for Istanbul New Airport at 19:35 with Turkish Airlines flight number TK416. Arrival in Istanbul at 23:00 local time and the end of our tour.
